1. Who Can Use Lyricritic
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and you must provide accurate information (including your real date of birth) when signing up. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
- You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
- Usernames must be unique; we may reclaim inactive or abusive usernames.
- You can delete your account at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).
3. Content You Post
Ratings, comments, reactions, concert logs, photos, videos, and profile content (“Your Content”) are yours — you own it. By posting it, you give Lyricritic a license to display it within the app to your friends or publicly, based on your own visibility settings.
You agree not to post content that:
- Is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit
- Infringes someone else’s copyright or other rights (e.g. don’t upload media you don’t have the right to share)
- Impersonates another person
- Is spam or unrelated to music/concerts
We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
4. Editorial Content
Content marked as official Lyricritic content (reviews, scores, polls, recommendations, playlist shares) is created by Lyricritic and reflects our own editorial judgment. It’s provided for entertainment and informational purposes.
5. Third-Party Music Data
Lyricritic uses outside services (Deezer, OpenStreetMap, and Spotify for admin playlist links) to power search, previews, and venue lookup, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t control this data and aren’t responsible for its accuracy. Audio previews and cover art are provided by their respective rights holders through these services — we don’t host or claim ownership of that content.
6. Acceptable Use
Don’t use Lyricritic to:
- Scrape, copy, or resell app data
- Attempt to bypass account restrictions (including the age requirement)
- Interfere with the app’s normal operation
- Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, polls, or rankings
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the app and request account deletion at any time.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Lyricritic is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We’re not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This is a small, independently-run app — we do our best to keep it working, but can’t guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
