That classic Tucker Pilsbury yelp rings out and welcomes us into a brand new era. Sounding smooth as ever we have got a new persona on our hands. Waving goodbye to Sally and saintlaurentcowboy and saying hello to our new friend Chuck Timely. This guy is a new type of cowboy, the rich type with a birkin. Yet, we have our friend Chuck posting ironic posts all over social media of himself doing blue collar work and staying late at the shop.
The brand new single “High Hopes 3000” begins by telling us that our new friend Chuck is waiting around for a special lady to come his way. Describing his brand new shirt as a small thing that might make him happy and “put some joy in the engine.” The chorus is an automatic hit and extremely catchy. Bringing in that Tucker spirit that we have missed so much. Ending off with the question “Does love come around, or does one come around to it?” A question nobody knows the answer to until they meet the one. The next verse describes to us the feeling of meaningless hookups getting tired for Tucker. He hopes each one is the one and goes through motions and gets disappointed in the end. The melody switch up in the last chorus makes this song even further stuck inside our minds. Just that fun energy causing us all to sing along proudly to a painful truth.
